KIEV, Aug. 3 ??“ Ukraine has pumped 9.3 billion cubic meters of gas into underground storage facilities, while the volume of active gas amounts to 11 billion cubic meters of gas, Ukraine's Fuel and Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov said in the parliament on Thursday.

Ukraine need to have at least 24 billion cubic meters of gas stored for the winter to make sure that consumers face no shortages of gas and that gas transit runs smoothly.
