KYIV, Aug 9 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has introduced a new tool for the rapid assessment and tracking of economic development trends – the monthly business environment outlook index, the NBU reported.

According to the report, the index is calculated based on surveys of Ukrainian enterprises in the real economic sector.

In contrast to the already traditional quarterly business outlook index (BOI), which records the indicators of the expected development of enterprises in the next 12 months, the new index focuses only on the assessment of the current state of the economy by the business.
