KYIV, July 22 – Electricity production in the united energy system of Ukraine in January-June 2019 decreased by 0.1% (by 54.9 million kWh) compared to the same period of 2018, to 79.819 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Nuclear power plants (NPP) for the six months of this year increased production of electricity by 6.5% compared to the same period last year, to 42.653 billion kWh. In particular, production of electricity at Zaporizhia NPP amounted to 18.440 billion kWh (1% down from January-June 2019), Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP some 9.674 billion kWh (25.1% more), Rivne NPP some 10.153 billion kWh (40.9% more), and Khmelnytsky NPP some 4.387 billion kWh (32.3% less).
