KYIV, June 26 – Ukrtransgaz to avoid default on contracts to supply gas for industrial and technological needs has proposed gas in underground gas storage (UGS) facilities instead of money, which contractors would be able to use early 2020, Chairman of Executive Board of Naftogaz Ukrayiny Andriy Kobolev has said.

"They [Ukrtransgaz's contractors] refuse to claim fines. They receive gas in UGS instead of money, which they store until a certain date at the beginning of the next year, and then they can use it. Thus, we close the default of Ukrtransgaz," he told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.
