KYIV, June 25 – Ukraine's thermal power plants (TPP) and combined heat and power plants (CHPP) in January-April 2019 reduced coal consumption by 5.5% (or 516,500 tons) compared to the same period in 2018, to 8.856 million tons.

According to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, in April 2019, coal consumption at TPPs and CHPPs decreased by 2.1% (or 42,300 tons) compared to the same month of 2018, to 1.952 million tons.
