KYIV, June 11 – National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom, Holtec International and the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the State Nuclear Inspectorate have signed a trilateral partnership agreement in the creation of an international consortium to introduce small modular reactor SMR-160 technologies in Ukraine.

According to an Energoatom's press release, the analysis of the regulatory framework used in the design of a power unit with the SMR-160 reactor, the analysis of the conceptual design of the NPP with the SMR-160 power units, and the preparation of the initial data required for the development of the feasibility study will be carried out.
