KYIV, May 29 – National Energy Company Ukrenergo assesses the cost of harmonization of the united power system of Ukraine with the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) at EUR 357 million.
Ukrenergo Head Vsevolod Kovalchuk said at the "Integration of the Ukrainian Energy System into ENTSO-E: Key Challenges and Tasks" panel on Tuesday that EUR 130 million should be sent to develop the power grid, EUR 130 milion – to prepare generating facilities for ensuring reserves and automatic regulation of voltage, EUR 92 milion to create dispatch communications channels and EUR 5 million to conduct additional studies of static and dynamic stability and the introduction of the guidelines for operation in ENTSO-E.
