KYIV, May 27 – Power production in Ukraine in January-April decreased by 0.9% (491 million kWh) compared to the same period of 2018, to 56.043 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reported.
Nuclear power plants (NPP) for the four months of this year increased production of electricity by 10% compared to the same period last year, to 30.285 billion kWh. In particular, electricity production at Zaporizhia NPP amounted to 12.762 billion kWh (2.1% less compared to January-April 2019), Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP some 7.639 billion kWh (30.1% more), Rivne NPP some 6.967 billion kWh (53.3% more), and Khmelnytsky NPP to 2.918 billion kWh (28.8% less).
