KYIV, May 2 – Production of natural gas in Ukraine in January-March 2019 increased by 3.4% (by 175.1 million cubic meters) compared to the same period in 2018, to 5.28 billion cubic meters, Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry reported.

According to the ministry, the enterprises of Naftogaz Ukrayiny for the specified period raised gas production by 3.3% (by 132.3 million cubic meters), to 4.161 billion cubic meters. In particular, Ukrgazvydobuvannia saw gas production rise by 2.8% (by 105.2 million cubic meters), to 3.869 billion cubic meters, and Ukrnafta increased it by 10.7% (by 27.9 million cubic meters), to 289.2 million cubic meters. Chornomornaftogaz decreased output by 18.3% (by 800,000 cubic meters), to 3.6 million cubic meters.
