KYIV, April 25 – The team of Ukraine's President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky thinks that incumbent Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko should leave his post.
"A separate position on Yuriy Lutsenko. I understand that now there is a colossal desire of the authorities to maintain the status quo. But Volodymyr [Zelensky] made an important statement during the announcement of the election results: he believes that Lutsenko is a man of the past, he [Lutsenko may] to return to politics if he wants, but will have to leave the prosecutor general's post, where people should come to carry out a real reform," team member, former Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk said at an event at the European Business Association "New 5-Year Challenge: Expectations. Hopes. Concerns" held in Kyiv on Thursday.
