KYIV, April 23 – The Cabinet of Ministers and national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrayiny have agreed on the reduction of the price of natural gas for households and heat suppliers from May 1, 2019 by 3.5%, to UAH 8,247 from UAH 8,550 per 1,000 cubic meters, the press service of Naftogaz has reported.

"On instructions from the Cabinet of Ministers, Naftogaz, together with government representatives, developed a new mechanism for determining the regulated price, which allows not only to avoid raising the cost of gas for households and heat suppliers from May 1, 2019, but also to reduce it to UAH 8,247 per 1,000 cubic meters (final retail price)," the company said in a press release.
