LVIV, March 5 – Mobile communications operators Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine and lifecell jointly with the Lviv City Administration and municipal enterprise Lvivelectrotrans have launched the SMS-payment service for public transport in Lviv for prepaid subscribers, Deputy Lviv Mayor Andriy Moskalenko said at a press conference in Lviv on Tuesday.

From March 5, customers of Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine and lifecell are able to pay for travel in Lviv electric transport via SMS. The service provides for the purchase of a ticket directly on the trams or trolleybuses of the city, by sending a message with the corresponding code to the short number 877.
