KYIV, Feb 28 – Sugar production in the 2019/20 agricultural year (September-August) in Ukraine will be 1.5-1.6 million tons, which is 15-20% less than in the previous agri-year, Deputy Board Chairperson of the Ukrtsukor Association Ruslana Butylo has said at the Sugar World 2019 congress.

According to her, the number of operating sugar refineries in 2019 will also be reduced to 34-35, while in 2018 a total of 42 refineries operated.
