KYIV, Feb 25 – The project of Norway's NBT to build a wind farm with a capacity of 750 MW in Zaporizhia region would face some face intractable challenges, taking into account oversupply of generating capacities in the region and the absence of preliminary studies of the area, Board Chairman of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) Andriy Konechenkov has said.
As he said in an interview with the Reform Energy portal, the project has not yet taken wind measurements, which takes a year, and also did not carry out an environmental impact assessment (for the procedure, one should submit, for example, ornithological research data that last a year).
