Naftogaz expects Parliament to adopt bill to intensify gas system unbundling

KYIV, Feb 15 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny expects Parliament will soon adopt draft law on concession No. 8125 in the second reading to intensify the unbundling and transfer of the gas transmission system (GTS) to the management of an independent operator.

"Successful unbundling needs not only Naftogaz's efforts but also active participation of the government and the parliament. In particular, we expect that the Verkhovna Rada will adopt a law on concession in the second reading, as it is concession that the best form for transferring the state-owned GTS to management by a new independent operator," Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev wrote on Facebook.
