KYIV, Jan 23 – The national power grid Ukrenergo has started testing power units of thermal power plants (TPPs), combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) and hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) to regulate frequency and excitation to study the possibilities of synchronous operation of the power grids of Ukraine and Moldova.

According to a report of Ukrenergo, the first test was started in the morning on Wednesday at Kharkiv CHPP 5.
