KYIV, Jan 16 — Ukrainians have cleared more than 30,000 cars with foreign registration through the customs at reduced rates, and this number can reach up to 250,000-300,000 vehicles "with EU number plates," Deputy Finance Minister Serhiy Verlanov has said.

"So far, the state budget has received UAH 2 billion from customs clearance of such cars. More than 30,000 cars have been cleared. Out of the 500,000 cars [present in the Ukrainian territory], according to our estimates, about 250,000-300,000 cars will be cleared," he said during a meeting at the National Bank of Ukraine on January 16.
