KIEV, July 10 ??“ Euratom, the European atomic agency, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development confirmed readiness to start lending for upgrading recently finished nuclear power reactors at Khmelnytskiy and Rivne nuclear plants.

"With the establishment of a Decommissioning Fund, Ukraine has met the last outstanding condition for the disbursement of loans from Euratom and the EBRD in context with the safety upgrade for unit 2 of Khmelnytsky and unit 4 of Rivne nuclear power plants," Interfax-Ukraine reported citing an EBRD press release.
