KYIV, Dec 26 — The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) on December 26 decided to impose sanctions on Russian legal entities and individuals for conducting illegitimate elections in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Donbas as well as Russia's aggression near the Kerch Strait.
"Following discussions of the agenda's item 'The use of personalized special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions),' it was decided to support the imposition of sanctions, first of all, on legal entities and individuals, including Russian companies, businessmen, politicians, deputies, and law-enforcement personnel that have actively supported or facilitated the aggressive actions against Ukraine," the NSDC's press service said on December 26 night following its meeting.
