KYIV, Dec 12 – The U.S. House of Representatives has unanimously adopted a bipartisan resolution that opposes completion of the construction of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

The resolution appeals to European governments to abandon the gas pipeline project that poses threat to the regional energy security.

It also supports the introduction of sanctions against this gas pipeline in accordance with Part 232 of the "Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act."
