KIEV, July 7 - Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrayiny agreed it will be sufficient for Ukraine to store 16 billion cubic meters of gas at underground tanks to get through the winter, Fuel and Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov said.

However, Naftogaz will seek to store up to 18.4 billion cu m by Oct. 15, when the high demand season begins, Plachkov said. Naftogaz has been earlier suggesting that Ukraine would store up to 23.5 billion cu m of gas by the deadline.
