KIEV, July 6 - Ukrainian automaker LuAZ and China's Dongfeng Motor Corporation have signed a contract to build a plant in Ukraine before the end of 2007 to manufacture trucks with a capacity of 2 to 10 tons.

LuAZ will invest more than $35 million in building the plant, to be located in the city of Cherkasy, said Serhiy Krasulya, spokesman for Bohdan, a corporation owning LuAZ.
