Ukraine may extend martial law if Russia seeks to escalate tensions
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, Dec 5 - The possibility that martial law in Ukraine will be extended depends on Russia's actions, but there is no reason to cancel it at the moment, despite some de-escalation in the Kerch Strait, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said.

"As for the extension of martial law, I really think that it depends on Russia's actions and intentions [...] and on the situation that develops on the border," Poltorak told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.
