MOSCOW, July 6 ??“ Russia??™s State Duma Environmental Committee has recommended the government announce a moratorium on the import of metals from Ukraine, amid fears they may be radioactive.

The bill is the latest in a number of trade sanctions that had been imposed or planned to be imposed by Russia since early 2005 when Ukraine had declared a pro-Western foreign policy.
