KYIV, Nov 14 - Ukraine restarted two nuclear power reactors on Wednesday, including one ahead of schedule, reacting to increasing power demand caused by deteriorating weather, Energoatom reported.

Zaporizhia-1 unit, which has capacity of 1,000-MW, was restarted early Wednesday after 67-day maintenance, the company said. The unit is now gradually increasing its power output, the company said.

This comes hours after Khmelnytskiy-2 unit, also with 1,000-MW capacity, was restarted after 73-day maintenance, seven days ahead of schedule. The unit was originally supposed to be under maintenance for 80 days.
