KYIV, Oct 25 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny asked Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman to discuss the issue of taking measures to protect the interests of the state as a transit country for natural gas to European countries at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
The respective request is outlined in a letter to the prime minister published by the European Pravda publication.
"We recall that the status of the transit country is a key to ensuring economic and energy security, as well as the defense of the entire country and it is a guarantee of the abstention of the Russian Federation from continuing aggressive hostilities against our country," the company said in the letter.
