KYIV, Oct 19 – Ukraine is facing unfavorable weather for early spring grain crops during the next 10-12 years, Tetiana Adamenko, the head of the agriculture department of the Ukrainian weather center, said.
However, the expected weather pattern will probably help winter grain crops, she said.
"According to our forecasts, early spring grain will suffer more, as it is not very thermophilic, but will fall under high temperatures at the beginning of the year. At the same time, favorable conditions will be for winter crops due to the fact that the winter has warmed and there are practically no risks of freezing," she told Interfax-Ukraine.
