KYIV, Oct 11 – The State Nuclear Regulation Inspectorate of Ukraine at a meeting on Thursday extended the operation life of reactor four of Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (NPP) for the post-project period after the safety inspection.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that the reactor's operation life has been extended by 10 years (until April 4, 2028).

"The results of the state and radiation safety expertise of the Zaporizhia NPP reactor four and the inspection survey confirm the possibility of safe long-term operation of reactor four of Zaporizhia NPP," the inspectorate's board said.
