KYIV, Oct 5 – Ukraine's former president, Leonid Kuchma, has said in the context of the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project that Ukraine should develop a strong economy, rather than rely on the United States or Europe.

While answering questions from students of the Chernihiv National Technological University on Friday, he noted that the European Union, including the countries of the Normandy Format, is less concerned about Ukraine's problems.
