KYIV, Aug 28 - Ukraine in the current marketing year (2017/2018 MY, September-August) will reduce sugar exports by at least 25% compared to the previous MY, the National Association of Sugar Producers Ukrtsukor reports.
"In recent years, the situation on the world's market has changed dramatically. This year producers had to work in conditions of global surplus and low prices, which in turn will affect exports in 2017/2018 MY - at least 25% less than a year earlier. As the following year can be no less tense, it is important to work out the right export strategy and not lose a place in the top 10 world sugar exporters," head of the analytical department of the association Ruslana Butylo said.
