KYIV, July 26 – Oleksandr Kovalchuk, the rapporteur on complaints against Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) Nazar Kholodnytsky, has read out a draft decision saying that Kholodnytsky committed a disciplinary offense and should be reprimanded, but not dismissed.
For about three hours the rapporteur announced the essence of the complaints and a draft conclusion of the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Prosecutors (QDCP). The announced draft, in particular, says that Kholodnytsky really committed an offense and deserves a reprimand, but cannot be dismissed from office according to the law.
"We are asking for his dismissal from the post of prosecutor," Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) Artem Sytnyk said.
