KYIV, July 26 – The Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has amended the projected balance of electricity of Ukraine for 2018, revising upwards expectations about generation of electricity by hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) and intermittent power plants.
According to the calculations of the agency Interfax-Ukraine, the total production in the united power grid of the country is expected at 160.057 billion kWh (a rise of 0.5% compared with the balance sheet approved at the end of December), nuclear power plants (NPPs) - 83.8 billion kWh (a fall of 0.9%, thermal power plants (TPPs) - 48.367 billion kWh (a fall of 0.9%), combined heat and power plants (CHPP) and cogeneration plants – 11.942 billion kWh (a rise of 1.3%), HPP - 10.707 billion kWh (a rise of 19.6%), intermittent power plants - 2.32 billion kWh (a rise of 14.3%), block stations - 1.497 billion kWh (a fall of 6.8%) and pumped storage power plants - 1.424 billion kWh (a fall of 21.6%).
