KYIV, July 23 - Power generation in the united energy system of Ukraine in January-June 2018 increased by 1.9% compared to the same period in 2017, to 79.873 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Nuclear power plants (NPP) reduced electricity production by 12.2%, to 40.033 billion kWh, in particular, electricity generation at Zaporizhia NPP amounted to 18.620 billion kWh (2.9% down from January-June-2018), Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP some 7.734 billion kWh (7.6% down), Rivne some 7.204 billion kWh (25.8% down), Khmelnytsky some 6.475 billion kWh (22.6% less).
