KYIV, June 20 – Ukraine’s power production in the united power grid of Ukraine in January-May 2018 increased by 1.9% (by 1.264 billion kWh) compared to January-May 2017, to 68.203 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reported.
Nuclear power plants (NPP) in January-May decreased electricity generation by 14%, to 33.437 billion kWh. In particular, electricity production at Zaporizhia NPP amounted to 15.844 million kWh (4.5% less from January-May 2017), Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP some 6.621 billion kWh (11.1% less), Rivne NPP some 5.898 billion kWh (23.6% less), and Khmelnytsky NPP some 5.074 billion kWh (28.8% less).
