KYIV, May 25 - The coordination council for the reform of the fuel and energy complex under the Cabinet of Ministers should on May 29 decide on the plan of Naftogaz Ukrainy unbundling and submit it to the Verkhovna Rada by July this year, Vice President of the European Commission Maros Sefcovic said.
Sefcovic made the comments after meeting Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in Brussels on Friday.
"It could take a form of a comprehensive unbundling package including a roadmap for empowering the transmission system operator to operate in line with EU rules, present necessary legal changes and publish the contest for a foreign partner. The package should be presented to the [Verkhovna] Rada by July this year," he said during the discussion of the Ukrainian gas transportation route after 2019.
