KIEV, June 5 ??“ UNIQA, an Austrian insurance group, and Credo-Classic, a major Ukrainian insurance firm, created a 50-50 joint venture, UNIQA Life, to tap lucrative life insurance market in the country, the companies said.

Papers for the joint venture's license have been submitted to the State Commission for the Regulation of Financial Services Markets and are currently being registered, the companies said.
