MOSCOW, June 2 ??“ VimpelCom, Russia??™s No. 2 cell phone company, plans to become the third largest cellular operator in Ukraine, Chief Executive Officer Alexander Izosimov said Thursday.

"We do not aim at becoming a leading player in the Ukrainian market. We are going to take the stable third place," with five to six million people using its services and average expenditure (ARPU) of USD 5 per person, which will mean profits of $300-350 million a year, Izosimov said.
