KYIV, Feb 26 - The Opposition Bloc faction in parliament will not vote for Yakiv Smolii's appointment as governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), faction leader Yuriy Boiko said.

Parliament is due to vote on March 1 for approving Smolii as the new governor.

"The position of our faction is not to vote for the appointment of the head of the National Bank," he told reporters in Kyiv on Monday.
