KYIV, Jan 24 - About half of the unemployed Ukrainians have higher education, and the percentage of such people in Kharkiv is 87%, acting Head of the State Employment Service Valeriy Yaroshenko has said.
"About 45% of Ukrainians with higher education are currently registered in the service, and this figure in big cities such as Kyiv, Kharkiv and Zaporizhia exceeds 80%. In Kharkiv, 87% of the unemployed registered at the service have higher education. This shows that we have most vacancies for general workers, and those who are looking for work have higher education, and this imbalance does not give an opportunity for quick employment," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
