KYIV, Jan. 24 – The highest salaries in Ukraine in 2017 were in Kyiv city, and thanks to migration processes the average salary in Zakarpattia region increased, acting Head of the State Employment Service Valeriy Yaroshenko has said.

"The highest salary is in Kyiv (average UAH 11,643), Kyiv region, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Poltava regions follow it with an average salary of UAH 7,400. Last year Zakarpattia region is after Odesa and Mykolaiv region with an average salary of UAH 6,700," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
