KYIV, Jan 18 – Most of the $1.5 billion in assets confiscated from former President Viktor Yanukovych and his allies were spent to purchase weapons, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said.

The special confiscation of UAH 29.7 billion was carried out by the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) and the money was channeled the state budget in 2017, he said.
