KIEV, May 27 ??“ President Viktor Yushchenko may visit Donetsk, the stronghold of a major opposition party, on Tuesday to introduce a recently appointed governor and to ease rising tensions between the region and the central government.

The Donetsk region administration has been accepting requests for accreditations from regional journalists to cover the visit, according to regional media reports. Yushchenko??™s press service has not reported on the visit.
