KYIV, Dec 26 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has returned to Oleksandr Yaroslavsky documents for agreement on the participation in the purchase of Prominvestbank (PIB, Kyiv) for modification, the NBU has said on its Twitter page.
"If the necessary documents are prepared, the investor has the right to resubmit them," the message said.
It was reported in the middle of December 2017 that the owner and president of DCH Group Oleksandr Yaroslavsky submitted a package of documents to the NBU, seeking the approval of the acquisition of PIB. At the same time, the chairman of Russia's Vnesheconombank Sergei Gorkov said his bank was not conducting negotiations for the sale of PIB to Yaroslavsky and had not given permission for him to submit documents to the NBU. NBU Deputy Governor Kateryna Rozhkova then said that NBU would not let Yaroslavsky buy the bank without Vnesheconombank's approval.
