KYIV, Dec 21 – Ukraine in 2018 plans to increase the share of nuclear fuel purchase from Westinghouse for its nuclear power plants (NPPs) from 40% to 55%, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk said.
"If today 60% of fuel is supplied by Russians and 40% by Westinghouse, next year we will reach the ratio of 55 and 45 in favor of the U.S. company. This would allow us not to depend on one supplier," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
