KYIV, Dec 13 – Gas transit across Ukraine fell by 23%, to 200 million cubic meters (mcm) a day due to an explosion in Baumgarten (Austria), Advisor to the Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Maskym Beliavsky said.

"After yesterday's emergency in Baumgarten, the daily transit of gas through the territory of Ukraine decreased by 23%, up to 200 mcm," he said.

Beliavsky said that Ukraine fulfills the applications of European importing countries on time and the country is ready to increase the volumes of pumping after receiving the relevant applications.
