KIEV, May 23 ??“ The U.S. urged Ukraine to reconsider its earlier decision to abandon an independent stock market clearing depository and to develop a similar state-owned entity, Interfax-Ukraine reported Tuesday.

The U.S., the World Bank and Ukraine signed a 10-year memorandum calling for development of the independently owned depository, but it had been cancelled by the government in January.
