DNIPROPETROVSK, May 17 ??“ Ukraine??™s three biggest steel producers, including Mittal Steel Kryviy Rih, seek to buy Chinese equipment to upgrade their production and to reduce consumption of natural gas, an official said Wednesday.

Volodymyr Hranovsky, the deputy industrial policy minister, said the Chinese equipment is significantly lower compared with European producers, which explains the choice.
