KYIV, Oct 31 – The Energy and Coal Industry Ministry recommends increasing the price of coal made by state-owned coalmines for heat generation (thermal power plants (TPPs) and combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) by 10.2% from November 1, 2017, from UAH 2,200 to UAH 2,425 per tonne (VAT and transportation costs not included) with average calorific capacity of Ukrainian gas coal of 5,200 kilocalories.

The decision was made at a meeting devoted to the determining of the upper price of coal headed by Minister Ihor Nasalyk on October 26. The minutes of the meeting have been posted on the ministry's website.
