DNIPRO, Oct 27 - DTEK Energy plans to increase coal production by 6.5%, or 1.5 million tons, to 24.5 million metric tons in 2018, company CEO Dmytro Sakharuk said.
According to him, in 2018 the company plans to make 37 new longworks in its Ukrainian mines. The cost of each longwork is about UAH 300 million, i.e. investments will total about UAH 11.5 billion. He also said in general in 2017 the company plans to import about 3 million tons of coal in Ukraine, of which 30% is coal from the Rostov assets of DTEK.
