KYIV, Oct 26 – Ukraine has stopped adding gas to its underground gas storage facilities and started withdrawing gas at the beginning of this week due to a spell of cold weather, which urged more cities to activate centralized heating systems, according to the state gas shipper Ukrtransgaz.
Ukraine switched its gas storage system into net withdrawal since Tuesday as the country’s consumption of natural gas increased to 100.2 million cubic meters per day from 90.7 million cubic meters/day as of October 24.
